Know a Friend?

Do you know anyone who might become a Friend of the Susquehanna Valley Chorale?

This painting was recently being auctioned at a special Friend’s reception.

Friends are donors of $500 or more, and their financial gifts support the SVC and our educational outreach, the SVYC.

Friends receive reserved seating at concerts, as well as invitations to special events throughout the year. If you would like to become a Friend of the SVC, please contact Friends Committee Chair, Nancy Showers, e-mail:, 570.966.1132.

Donating is easy, online at:, call Kelly Beard at: 570.547.0455 or mail your check payable to the: SVC, PO Box 172, Lewisburg, PA 17837. Payments can be made by check or credit card, all at once or in quarterly installments.

The needs of the Chorale organization are on-going, and our generous Friends are a significant segment of our contributors.

Season Subscriptions

SEASON SUBSCRIPTIONS. You can read about the 2017-18 SVC exciting season here. Four distinctly unique concert programs, seven performances, covering three communities. Because our fall concert is held at the beautiful Weis Center for Performing Arts, subscriber tickets must be exchanged for Bucknell box office tickets – free of charge during hours of operation at the box office or the day of the concert.

Are season tickets still available, giving you four tickets for use at any concert/s of your choice? YES! There’s a significant savings if you purchase the subscription, which costs $70 for all four tickets. To order your subscription, please click here to purchase online (link to ticket buying page) or contact our SVC Office to purchase by phone, 570-547-0455. You won’t want to miss any of the concerts this year. AND you’ll also enjoy a petite box of Purity chocolates we’re offering (as long as supplies last) — plus the free CD of the SVC’s Candlelight Christmas performance — to subscribers.

Four Performances in Four Communities

billpayn_conductorThe Susquehanna Valley Chorale (SVC) is pleased to announce its new 2016-17 concert season, which will include four performances in four different communities: Middleburg, Sunbury, Lewisburg, and Selinsgrove.

The performance will feature the singing of popular carols, Randol Bass’s Gloria and Dan Forrest’s Festival First Nowell. In the spring, the SVC will present Voices of Light, a combination of music and film featuring the 1928 silent film The Passion of Joan of Arc with a score by composer Richard Einhorn on Saturday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 12 at 2 p.m. at the Campus Theatre in downtown Lewisburg.  This critically-acclaimed performance has been presented by chorales around the world at locations such as Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, the Sydney Opera House and the Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. It has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning and NPR’s All Things Considered.

The final performance of the season will continue to be the SVC’s Pops Concert and this year’s theme will be The Golden Age of Musical Theatre on Friday, May 12 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Weber Auditorium, Susquehanna University, in Selinsgrove. The music will feature Rodgers and Hammerstein favorites from Oklahoma, Carousel, South Pacific, The King & I, The Sound of Music, State Fair, Cinderella and Flower Drum Song.
